2020 PATHMAKER SCHOLARS Summer Research Program

CALL for APPLICATIONS

The PathMaker Scholars Summer Research Program at the Huntsman Cancer Institute seeks to increase the participation of underrepresented students in biomedical cancer research and to encourage them to prepare for careers in research, medicine, and education. The Program sponsors students for a ten-week, residential summer research experience where they will live on campus, learn laboratory training techniques and work on a project as indicated by a Principal Investigator in a university laboratory setting. Accepted students who successfully complete the program will automatically be accepted into the summer 2021 program without reapplying.

Compensation Stipend: $3,000-$4,000 Lodging: On-campus housing will be provided for participants

Meals: Campus dinning dollars provided to all participants Scholarships: $1,000 scholarships awarded to outstanding participants who attend the University of Utah

Who is eligible to apply? Current undergraduate students, or high school students who have completed their junior year prior to June 2020. Applicants must be from an underrepresented minority group.
